LACKEY
We're waiting for a miracle, miracle-man. Wonder if you can catch a bullet, like Superman --
HENCHMAN
Let's find out.

He fires at Josh's leg. Josh cries out, crumbles to the ground, clutching his ankle. Simon reacts as if he himself had been shot.
HENCHMAN
Guess not.
LACKEY
I'm disappointed. Maybe it wasn't a fair test. Shot too low for him to catch.
He fires higher. The bullet strikes Josh's wrist. Josh cries out again, rolling over on the ground. Again Simon reacts as if shot.
HENCHMAN
He doesn't seem to be catching the bullets so good.
LACKEY
(standing on Josh's wrist)
Maybe it's a range problem.
He fires. Josh writhes, screams. Simon screams with him.
HECHMAN
Guess not.
LACKEY
Any last words, miracle-man?
JOSH
God forgive you ... you don't know what you're doing.
LACKEY
You people make me sick.
